After graduating in 2004, I spent 10 years working in various positions in a global Jewellery Buying office. When I left in 2015 I was responsible for a Scandinavian brand with annual turnover of £10m, I’d lived and travelled in the Far East and many of my designs could be found in High St stores - it was an exciting, fast paced and creative role which I loved for many years.
However, knowing I didn’t want to continue my Buying career into my 30’s, I pursued a job as an Executive Assistant. After most City recruiters told me I didn’t stand a chance of walking into an EA role, an MD called Chris took a chance on me after an interview one rainy February afternoon. Soon after I was co-ordinating brand and company wide events, managing his hectic diary, inbox (and at times his life) and fully embracing my new job as all round chief organiser for him and our brand.
In 2018, after the birth of my son, my boss left the business, the team was restructured and I was offered redundancy. I grabbed the opportunity with both hands, and in September 2018 - when my son was just 6 months old - Virtually Supported was born. I won several awards within 18 months of setting the business up and regularly speak at industry events.
With a career spanning over 16 years in creative & corporate industries, working both as a Manager myself and with a Board level Exec - I have the knowledge and skills to work alongside you in your Coaching business as a trusted partner and strategist.
As a Virtual Assistant, I work solely with coaches and psychologists to help them with the strategy and implementation side of their businesses. I have vast experience of launching online courses and memberships, email marketing and creating a clear brand message through graphics and social media content.
As a mentor, I work with aspiring and established Virtual Assistants to help them create successful businesses on their own terms through 1:1 mentoring and online training programmes. I believe we can all create a life and business we love, but we sometimes need a little support along the way from someone more experienced - this is where I can help. I’m incredibly proud of the business I have created which allows me to do work I love, plus have the freedom to work flexibly and be present for my son. It’s an honour to be able to empower other women to do the same.
Lucy has really helped me over the last year create a more polished and professional look to my coaching and wellbeing business. She has unlimited knowledge about delivering online workshops and courses, while being a wonderful, calming and creative ear to help me when I’ve needed honest feedback or a brainstorm - something I often crave when working alone from home! I couldn’t recommend Lucy more, she understands what I need and offers the accountability that I crave when I get stuck or when the self-doubt creeps in.
I couldn't recommend Lucy's VA services highly enough. Time is a precious commodity and Lucy is skilled at helping to clear my plate of those tasks I don't enjoy, so I can focus on running my business. Lucy really understands my business needs and demands, she's smart, articulate and has a "can do attitude". It's great to work with you Lucy!
Lucy shows initiative, takes on tasks with enthusiasm, and goes above and beyond on every job she works on for me. I trust Lucy implicitly, not only in terms of handling sensitive information, but also when it comes to how well she will complete a task - I know that I can hand it over and it will be done to an extremely high standard. Lucy problem solves, takes initiative where relevant, and really gets every aspect of my work. I would recommend her to anyone looking for first-class VA support.
